1. What is AcidBlock D and What is it Used For?
AcidBlock D is a dual-action formulation that combines two active ingredients:
- Pantoprazole (40 mg): A proton pump inhibitor that reduces excess acid in the stomach.
- Domperidone (10 mg): A prokinetic that helps move food through the stomach faster, relieving bloating, nausea, and reflux.
Indications:

- Functional Dyspepsia (indigestion with bloating or early fullness)
- Nausea and vomiting associated with delayed gastric emptying
- Acid reflux with upper GI motility disorders
- Postprandial fullness and discomfort
2. How Does AcidBlock D Work?
- Pantoprazole irreversibly blocks the H⁺/K⁺ ATPase (proton pump) in the stomach’s parietal cells, significantly reducing acid secretion.
- Domperidone works by blocking dopamine (D2) receptors in the GI tract, enhancing the movement of food through the stomach and intestines while also reducing nausea and vomiting.
Together, they provide rapid and sustained relief from acidity, reflux, bloating, and gas-related symptoms.
